TY - JOUR TI - Espace, géométrie et dessin. Une ingénierie didactique pour l’apprentissage, l’enseignement et l’utilisation de la perspective parallèle au lycée AU - Parzysz, Bernard T2 - Recherches En Didactique Des Mathématiques AB - The main purpose of this research was to clearly establish and test some means intended to provide fifth (or even lower sixth) form students with a more efficient tool in solving spatial problems. These means (in opposition with the practices which are currently in common use) are, on the one hand a systematical use - at least at the beginning - of three dimensional material as a support of any given spatial geometrical situation, and on the other hand an explicit learning of a system of plane representation of space, integrated into the teaching of geometry. Among the principal existing systems, we have been led to choose parallel perspective, not because of its conformity with current tradition and practice, but as a consequence of results from previous research. The "problematical situation" on which our "didactical engineering" is based makes use of models belonging to micro-space. Starting from the initial conceptions of the students about the shadow cast by a lamp (a physical realization of central perspective) it leads them, by a series of unbalancing-rebalancing processes, to overstep these conceptions and, getting to the limit, to come to parallel perspective (shadow cast by the sun). This engineering, put into practice in fifth and lower sixth forms, has given results showing a good reinvestment of knowledge, with regard to geometrical objects as well as to the system of graphical representation.
