A teacher's epistemological work focuses on the knowledge to be taught and the knowledge for teaching. The text studies the epistemology of a (mathematics) teacher which founds her/his technological and theoretical discourses on her/his mathematical or didactic praxeologies. The aim of this text is to define the teacher’s epistemological work, which is not the epistemological work of a specific teacher. The collective component of these specific praxeologies is considered through the study of the conditions under which knowledge can be taught, because there is a didactic determinism that affects the teaching practices.
