Résumé

Dans cet article, nous décrivons une expérience d’enseignement de la géométrie en terminale C basée sur l’hypothèse suivante : l’interaction dialectique d’un enseignement de méthode et d’un travail régulier en petits groupes sur des exercices bien choisis est bénéfique pour l’apprentissage.

Après avoir précisé cette hypothèse, nous relatons les conditions de l’expérience et nous décrivons en particulier l’enseignement méthodologique qui est donné. Puis nous indiquons les premiers résultats tirés des analyses que nous avons faites des enregistrements de quelques séances de travail en petits groupes.

Abstract

In this paper, we describe an experiment on the learning and teaching of elementary geometry at the end of the secondary cursus (in the most scientific section of the french « lycée »). This research involves the following hypothesis : it may be useful for the pupils to learn geometry that the teacher uses a dialectic interaction between
– a teaching of methods (metateaching)
– a regular pupils’work in small groups (3,4) on well-chosen exercices.

The essential link between the two is that when you solve those exercices, you have to use the methods which are taught. We precise first our hypothesis, and we describe the conditions of the experiment, giving some details on our teaching of methods. Then we indicate the first results we have obtained by studying the transcriptions of some tapes (small group’s works).

Resumen

En este artículo, describimos nuestra experiencia de la enseñanza de la geometría en «COU» (último curso del bachillerato destinado a una orientación científica) basada sobre la hypótesis siguiente : la interacción dialéctica de una enseñanza sobre los métodos y un trabajo regular en pequeños grupos a base de ejercicios bien seleccionados, es benéfica para el aprendizaje.

Esta hypótesis precisada, evocamos las condiciones de la experiencia y describimos sobretodo la enseñanza metodológica dada. Después, indicamos los primeros resultados de los análisis sacados de las grabaciones de algunas sesiones de trabajo en pequeños grupos.
